Here’s something stoic and simple for the start of a new week. I originally posted this on my old website last year so the scenarios presented are not applicable during this month’s pandemic. I very seldom revise previously published creations and this will not be one of those. Times may have changed but the theme remains the same. Stay safe and healthy, everybody!
When the loan man calls, hey I just smile.
When the zits invade my cheeks, hey I just smile.
When I step on a gum, hey I just smile.
When I lose a dollar, hey I just smile.
All these little nuisances, hey I just smile.
It takes a lot to infuriate me so I just smile.
Fortitude is a blessing so I just smile
Because I know things will soon be worthwhile.
