Here Comes the Angel

Here comes the angel with a toad for a face
and wings made of hay; hence the fall from grace.
It claims to be ridding the world of disease
and defying the gods like Hercules.

What the angel does not want to reveal
is the machination it tries to conceal.
Salvation isn’t the name of the game.
It’s burning the world by starting a flame.
