You can’t love me because you hate your own skin,
the sound of your own voice, and your mind screaming from within.
You can’t show me ’cause you’re fixated with that wall
others built for you, the shots you don’t call.
You can’t love me because I refuse to look back
on a dark and cold world where hearts were all black.
Until you open your gates so you can roam free,
cherish me from afar only because you can’t love me.
