This poem is neither about any of my godfathers nor any ocean.
I’m just watching over here. Don’t underestimate me,
the silence, and the calmness, inherited from the sea.
Why you stupid moose, know that you ain’t a gander.
Your banter’s piteous, you foolish motherfucker.
Easily lured by hyenas that only know how to cackle
and objects so shiny they go beyond sparkle.
Well I’ve got pearls nobody has seen in this world
and a tsunami ready to crash, waiting for just one whirl.
