Six Feet Under

Plants die, animals too.
Dreams do not. They cling to you.
Push them aside or under your bed.
They stay in your heart, echo in your head.

You may stand and keep on breathing.
But from inside you start decaying.
Don’t wait until you’re six feet under.
Pursue your dreams and live with wonder.

“Six Feet Under” is one of the poems in the anthology The Lion Eating the Sun. It was originally published on August 2018.

Birthed fom the clouds of dust, cats, Pokémon, Survivor, and philosophy, this poetry collection tells stories of life, love, and loss. This book also contains elements from the author’s other works and upcoming second novel.

  1. Very true about how dreams decay and get lost before we know it is gone.
