The day I greet
looking down the street
livened by people’s feet
but I miss you
The desert is pretty
right next to the busy city
thus I can’t feel pity
but I miss you
The strangers are handsome
features so awesome
no reason to be lonesome
but I miss you
This time off is perfect
mistakes I failed to detect
now I should reflect
on but I miss you
My hotel’s fancy
they served me Brandy
and a plate full of candy
still I miss you
The night can be cold
wish I’ve someone to hold
young, big-eyed, and bold
yeah, I miss you
My Instagram’s exploding
colors are bursting
randoms are liking
my posts but I miss you
Christmas was so over
the New Year will take over
tonight’s the crossover
and I miss you
The gift I prize
is to see your brown eyes
once more, that’d be nice
’cause I miss you
The beach is filled
with spectators thrilled
holding drinks chilled
then I miss you
We look up the sky
happy, I try
to be and not cry
but I miss you
The greetings are plenty
more than twenty
but they’re just pretend friendly
thus I miss you
The sky’s bursting with colors
red, white,
purple, gold
the emptiness I feel
never gets old
wherever you lie
under the same sky
know that I tried
but I still miss you
